MARY MARGARET COX HARTMAN

Mary Margaret Cox Hartman of Hayes, passed away quietly in her sleep September 25, 2016.

Mary and her late husband, John, were the owners of Hartman’s Florist and Trophy Shop for many years. She loved and was devoted to her family and friends. Mary loved football, especially her Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed working in her yard, and her door was always open for coffee, a meal, and a chat around the kitchen table. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. Mary will be sadly missed, but her memories will forever be with us.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Hartman Sr.; mother and father, Sallie and Bonnie Cox, and sister, Doris Gibson.

She is survived by her children, Donna Gaddis (Jeff), John L. Hartman Jr. (Lynda) and Tonja Hartman (Adam); grandchildren, Colette Gaddis, John Gaddis (Savannah), Joshua Hartman, MacKenzie Hartman, Zachary Hartman, Zeften Steinour, Joey McComas (Olivia) and Hunter Collier; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Kylie Gaddis; sisters, Betty Holden and Cindy Long; brother, Johnny Cox (Lori); aunt, Catherine Langner (Benny); sister-in-law, Betty Gotshall (Al); special cousin, who was like a sister, Pat Bonniville (Horace); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friends, John and Barbara Coats and Joey and Lynn Warner.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
