MARY MAGDALENE WARRICK WOOTEN

Mary Magdalene Warrick Wooten of Richmond Va., passed away on April 12, 2016, at the age 89.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, the Rev. Moody G. Wooten Sr., who served as pastor at Bellamy United Methodist Church from 1964-1968. They were residents of Gloucester from 1982-1996.

She is survived by her three daughters, Delores Beggarly (H. Van), Deborah Wooten and Mary Ellen Wooten, and son, Moody Gray Wooten Jr. (Diana Hogge). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Hunter, Brian (Molly Eddy) and Lori Beggarly, Connor Wooten; a great-grandson, Avery Beggarly, and many friends.

Magdalene graduated from Rex Hospital as a registered nurse in 1945 and served in the Cadet Nurse Corps until the end of World War II. She then spent the rest of her life as a devoted caregiving nurse in many communities, hospitals and medical facilities. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
