Mary Louise Thomas, 88, of Port Haywood, passed away on Dec. 20, 2017 after a long illness.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Toliver Pugh and Charles Thomas, and her son-in-law, Robert Freeman Owens Sr.

Mary was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, Bavon.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Tyrone Pugh; her daughters, Violet Owens and Pearl Waddell (James); her grandsons, Robert F. Owens Jr. (Carol), Jamie Waddell and Tommy Waddell (Megan); her great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Owens, and Addison Waddell; her three brothers, Irving Robinson, Bobby Walker, and Preston Colonna, all of Norfolk; her sister, Noma Pugh of Bavon; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Cemetery, Susan.

The family of Mrs. Thomas would like to thank the staff of Riverside Convalescent Center-Mathews for taking wonderful care of Granny.

Faulkner Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, assisted the Thomas family with arrangements.
