Mary Kupchick Henderson passed away at home, surrounded by family members on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016.

She was born in Marion Heights, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late John and Anna Kupchick.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived in Chester and Trainer, Pennsylvania until moving to Hayes, Virginia where she lived for 21 years. From that time until her death she lived in Clifton, Virginia with her daughter and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George H. Henderson Sr., and her five siblings.

 She is survived by a son, George Henderson Jr., (Joyce); a daughter, Carol Ann Clement (Thom); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephen, Tiffany, Randy, J.C., Scott and Corey, and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Dominic and Colton. 

She worked for the Bell Telephone Co. and retired from Sunoco Co. in 1980. Mary was active with her churches in Chester and Hayes; she also volunteered at Deer Park Elementary School in Virginia.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Clifton. Internment will be at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday, Jan. 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, Fairfax, Virginia.
