MARY KATHLEENE ‘KITTY’ MCCULLERS KEMP

On Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at the age of 96, Mary Kathleene “Kitty” McCullers Kemp of Hayes, went to be with her Lord.

She was a Florida native and would often reminisce of her days in the Sunshine State. She loved the ocean, fishing, gardening, and the out of doors. She loved to sew and for several years worked as a seamstress for Colonial Williamsburg. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church where she happily served for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Beverly R. Kemp, and son, William B. “Billy” Kemp.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda J. Kemp; three granddaughters, Charlene (Morris), Billie Jean (Chris) and Penny (Cheslie); nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and a brother, Darrell McCullers.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Tom Cohick will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow at the Kemp Family Cemetery located at the entrance to Providence Baptist Church.
