Mary Ellen Forrest, 68, of Port Haywood, Va., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 21, 2015.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wilton and Mary Haywood.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Forrest; her aunts, Lois Buchanan and Martha Slaughter; her uncle, James Diggs, and many close family members.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at New Point Friends Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Ellen’s memory to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, Va. 23109.
