Mary Audrey Brown was born on Oct. 29, 1930 in Mathews, Va., and died at home on May 27, 2015 in Stanwood, Wash. She was 84 years old.

Mary was the oldest daughter of Clarence and Estelle Brown and beloved sister to Shirley Owens. Mary enjoyed 62 years of a wonderful marriage to husband Charles who served in the Air Force and civil service for many years. Her three sons, Russ, Stephen, and Chris, will always remember her as a wonderful mother with a superlative and unconditional love.

She is survived by sons, Russ and wife Kevan, Steve and wife Becky, and Chris and wife Stephanie; by grandchildren, Angela and husband John, Julie and husband Todd, Cindy, Daniel and wife Meaghan, Rachel and husband Zach, Sarah and husband Chris, Esther, Chloe, Lauren, and Kevin; by brother-in-law, Bill Owens; cousin, Rudy Shackelford; niece, Alice Stewart, and nephews, Tim Rowe and Bruce Owens, and by 10 great-grandchildren.

Mary’s memorial service was held on Saturday, June 27 at 1 p.m. at the Seven Lakes Baptist Church, 17007 E. Lake Goodwin Rd., Stanwood.
