MARVIN MOORE ROBINS

Marvin Moore Robins, 80, Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his home.

He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester County. Marvin was a soft spoken, gentle, kind, and considerate man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, NASCAR, and golf. He devoted 53 years of his life to coaching and leading the Gloucester Youth Baseball Association, touching the lives of thousands of children and their families. 

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Robins; brother, Earl Robins; sisters, Margaret Marshall and Charlotte Robins, and daughter-in-law, Kim Robins. 

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis; son, Glenn; sister, Barbara Harris (Marvin); brothers, Robert (Gloria) and Allen (Laurel), and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Mike Gray was held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester. Interment followed in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home.
