Marvin E. Hilliard, 78, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, in Hudgins, Va., with his wife, Joanne, at his side.

Marvin was predeceased by his mother and father, Gladys Bailey and Lynwood Hilliard; his son, Curtis, and his first wife, Audrey I. Hilliard.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; two daughters, Cynthia D. Courtney and Pamela J. Dunn; three grandchildren, Heather C. Lennon, Angel C. Yancoskie, and James C. Dunn; four step-children, John (Sheila), Joseph (Pamela), Donald (Wanda) Robinson and Tammy Rucker; 15 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman L. Hilliard; sister, Frances H. Pritchard, and several nieces and nephews. 

Marvin was in the Air Force Strategic Air Command as a mechanic on the B-36 and B-52 bombers. He was a manager for White Trucking Company and an Assistant Manager of the Richmond City Garage.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:30-11 a.m. July 11, 2016 at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229; memorial service to follow at 11 o’clock.
