Funeral services were held on April 15 at Zion Baptist Church for Martha Taylor Foster. She passed peacefully on April 8, 2013 in Fairfax, Va.

She was the older of two children born to Robert and Mable Taylor. She was very much loved by her parents, husband, brother, daughter, and grandson. Robert and Mable Taylor, John Randolph Foster, Horace Taylor, Charlotte Jarvis and Vincent Jarvis, all predeceased.

She was a charter member of the Continental Societies, Inc., Mathews Chapter. She found great purpose in ‘giving back’ to the community through her work and friendships with the members of the Continentals.

Cherishing her memory includes a devoted daughter, Mary Ann (Steve), Woodbridge, Va.; five grandsons, Calvin Jarvis (Renee), Dallas, Texas, Kenneth Jarvis (Marjorie), Bridgeport, Conn., Clinton “Nay” Jarvis (Stacy), Steven Cornish and John Randall Cornish, Woodbridge; great-grandchildren, Clinton Jr. (Rachel), Stephanie, Rajvi, Ginnae, Monet, Rachel, Melanie, and Jennifer; three great-great-grands, Nazier, Taylor Renee, and Jaquan. She also leaves cherished nieces, nephews, and special cousin, Charlotte Beckett, Hampton, Va.
