Marshall William Butler Jr., age 82, of Hayes, died at his home on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023. Marshall was born on July 19, 1940 to the late Marshall Butler Sr. and Idell Butler in Staunton, Virginia. Marshall was a United States Air Force veteran and active with Habitat for Humanity, the ReStore, and the Abingdon Ruritan Club. Marshall was preceded in death by his daughter, Krissy Butler. In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his brother, Martin. Marshall is survived by his wife, Darlene; son, Marc Butler and his wife Cherrie; grandchildren, Baylee and Paulie, and sisters, Deborah and Joyce. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Abingdon Ruritan Club on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 5 p.m. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
