Janet and Seth Clark of Mathews County celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Oct. 22. Shown above in 1955 and this year, below, the Clarks were married on Oct. 22, 1955 in St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, Long Island, N.Y. They lived in Delaware and Maryland before retiring to Mathews. Seth had a career as an attorney and Janet spent 30 years as an elementary teacher and resource specialist. They have traveled to almost every state and to all of the seven continents, visiting more than 70 countries. They will take an anniversary cruise next month with American Cruise Lines to the Florida Gulf Coast and the Florida Keys.
