Markets on Main is back for a second season on Main Street in Mathews.

Held every third Saturday throughout the summer, the event features three downtown markets: The Mathews Farmers’ Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Artisan Market at Bay School Community Arts Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Markets on Main, which features regional retail vendors, boutique stores, and restaurants from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Special events to be held behind the Bay School will include a Pet Market in June and Kids Art Walk in August.

Live music will be playing at each market. In April, the K Music Duo will perform at the Farmers’ Market at 10 a.m., and Lane Rice Music will perform at the Visitor Center beginning at noon.

“Enjoy all Main Street has to offer with these additional activities,” said a press release.

The activities are sponsored by the Mathews Main Street Committee and Chesapeake Bank.
