Marker dedication Saturday at Nuttall’s Store

The Gloucester Historical Society and Gloucester County Parks, Recreation & Tourism, along with the family and friends of the late Rudolph Nuttall, will launch the Gloucester Local Historical Marker Program at 2 p.m. Saturday with an unveiling in front of Nuttall’s General Store at Ware Neck.

The first marker in the program will commemorate the life of E. Rudolph “Rudy” Nuttall, owner and operator of the general store at Ware Neck Post Office from 1946 until his retirement in 2002. Nuttall died in 2007 at the age of 92.

Guest speakers will include Ware District supervisor Andy James, Ben Borden of the Gloucester Historical Society, Hilton Snowdon with Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism, and Ralph Parkes of the Nuttall family.

The Nuttall General Store will be open and the public is invited to attend. Refreshments and baked goods will be served. ...
