The Chesapeake Maritime Heritage Festival on Aug. 30-31 will honor boat builders, restorers and wildlife of the area. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days on the Eastern Shore at the Chincoteague Center, 6155 Community Drive.

The event will include exhibitors, speakers, stories, model boats, decoy carving, educational activities.
