“One Day At A Time, Sweet Jesus.”
Our beloved mother went home to glory on July 21, 2015.
Marion E. Jackson Dorsey of Hayes, was born on Feb. 3, 1948 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham L. Jackson II.
She joined First Baptist Church of Ordinary at a young age and was a graduate of T.C. Walker. She worked for various employers, the last being Home Instead home health care.
She leaves behind to cherish fond memories: two daughters, Michele D. Pryor (Darien) and Monica Dorsey Bridgeforth (Russell); four grandchildren, Marissa, Morgan, Melanie and Maria; her siblings, Abraham L. Jackson III (Sachiko), Laura E. Marsh (Charles), Randolph L. Jackson (Vernell), Mary Ann Fletcher (Ronnie), Shirley E. Dandridge, and Rudolf W. Jackson (Sandy). She also leaves behind Capt. Robert D. Dorsey (retired, U.S. Marine Corps), Roddy L. Dorsey, Suzanne M. Dorsey and William H. Dorsey II, and a special niece that was there throughout her illness, Marketta L. Fletcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Special thanks to Peninsula Cancer Center and Riverside Walter Reed Hospice. We love you, Momma, but God loves you more. Until we meet again.
