Mariners’ Museum to hold virtual lecture

The Mariners’ Museum and Park in Newport News will host a virtual evening lecture on Thursday, May 20, with Leslie Mueller, executive producer and host of the public television series “Museum Access.”

This free lecture, which begins at 7 p.m., provides both educational and entertaining perspectives for all ages, including families.

Mueller will give a behind-the-scenes look, and reveal surprising stories, at some of America’s favorite museums. Mueller will also discuss the importance of museums, and even share the story of how the TV series was created.

“I have had the opportunity to visit many of the world’s greatest museums. I have learned that no matter where they are located, museums are all about education, exploration, and inspiration,” said Mueller.

“Museum Access” can be viewed on public television/PBS stations nationwide and Amazon Prime Video.

The Evening Lecture Series is sponsored by WHRO Public Media, and The Tom & Ann Hunnicutt Lecture Fund.
