Margie Hogge Davis, 87, of Hayes, went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2013.

She was the widow of James C. Davis. Margie was a kind and generous person who always left the door to her heart and home open to everyone. Her cooking was enjoyed by both family and friends. She loved flowers, especially in bold colors.

She is survived by two daughters, Rose M. Brown and husband Thomas, and Ella Robinson and husband Roger; two sons, Wayne Davis and Tommy Davis; three sisters; four brothers; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home conducted by Pastor John Downs, interment will follow in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
