Margaret Mary Peters, 84, of Hayes, died Nov. 12, 2025.

She was a native of Minnesota, a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Newport News, and was retired from nursing.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Peters; two sons, Daniel and Steven, and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Penniston; brother, John Penniston Jr., and sister, Susan Heather.

A memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Salvation Army.
