Margaret Frances Williams Etheridge, 98, of Seaford, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017.

Frances was a native of Clifton Forge, and was a former resident of Gloucester before moving to the Peninsula in 1982. 

She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Seaford, and the Builders Sunday School Class, and former member of the Seaford Woman’s Club. She was instrumental in forming Apostles Lutheran Church in Gloucester. The first meeting was held at her home in Gloucester. 

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ray, and two sons, Larry and Ronnie Mills.

She is survived by her two sons, Robbie Mills (Brenda) of Yorktown, and Ivan Etheridge (Shari) of Gloucester; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. 

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Zion United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. A reception followed the graveside in the church social hall.
