March 6 public hearing on Mathews school budget

The Mathews County School Board will hold a public hearing on its proposed 2018-2019 budget at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6 in the Mathews High School media center. A work session will immediately follow the hearing.

The board held its initial work session on the upcoming budget at its January meeting. As proposed by Superintendent of Schools Nancy Welch, the proposed $14.28 million budget calls for an increase of roughly $370,000 in local funds.
