Male chorus singalong to mark Bethel’s 150th

Gloucester’s Bethel Baptist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary during a special 150th Male Chorus Gospels and Spirituals Singalong on Saturday, March 25.

At 4 p.m., male choruses from Gloucester, Richmond and surrounding areas will be performing at the church, which is located across from Peasley Middle School on Hickory Fork Road. All men are invited to join in the celebration and lend their voices. The public is invited to attend.

In March and April, the church will focus on its Celebration of Men along with Lent/Season of Penitence and the Resurrection/Celebration of the Risen Christ, a release stated. The emphasis will be on fasting, praying and self-reflection as church members are asked to consider their individual spiritual growth and how it impacts on the growth of the church in general.
