Maj. Gen. Charles P. Stone (USA-ret.) and his wife Mary will be buried together at Arlington National Cemetery on March 15, 2012 at 3 o’clock.

In 1968, while serving in Vietnam, he wrote to her: "Romance is the central theme of our existence—has been—is now—and always shall be. Never to leave you my beloved is a wonderful dream."
