Maggie Scribe inducted into PBK

Margaret Grace Scribe, a 2011 Mathews High School graduate, was inducted into Randolph-Macon College’s Zeta chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society during its annual banquet and initiation ceremony on May 1.

The ceremony, held in the school’s Birdsong Hall, marked the 92nd anniversary celebration of the establishment of a Phi Beta Kappa chapter at Randolph-Macon.

Scribe, an economics/business major and accounting minor, is the daughter of Liz and Jason Scribe of Hallieford. She will graduate from Randolph-Macon College on May 30.

Founded in 1776, The Phi Beta Kappa Society advocates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. Its campus chapters invite for induction the most outstanding liberal arts and sciences students at America’s leading colleges and universities.
