The Blue Crab Arts & Crafts Festival, “Made in the Shade,” returns to Hartfield for Memorial Day weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The festival will be held on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club at 1860 Twiggs Ferry Road. The festival starts each day at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Parking and attendance are free. This event features original, handcrafted works of art with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship. There will be 60 or more arts and crafts vendors. In addition, there will be at least 10 food vendors offering a selection of culinary delights including: steamed crabs, oysters, lobster rolls, Mediterranean fare, BBQ and much more. There will be music, Zoll Vineyards will be serving wine, and Gloucester Brewery will be serving beer. There will be activities for people of all ages including free croquet and lawn bowling lessons and games. The festival will be held rain or shine.
