A memorial service for Macey Willis White Sr., 83, of Hartfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. He died Friday, March 11, 2016.

Mr. White graduated from Middlesex High School in 1951 and from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1955 with a degree in agriculture. He was Chief Operations Officer for Southern States Grain Marketing. In retirement, he spent many years cultivating Christmas trees; “Macey’s Tree Farm” became a favorite holiday activity for many families on the Middle Peninsula. 

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jackson White; three children; a sister; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A reception will follow at the Middlesex Shooting Sports Club in Hartfield.
