Several years ago, Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club director Nancy Crouch and a few others at the club started keeping track of how many students club pro Macey White had taught over the years. White began teaching croquet in 2015, so this year marks 11 years on the court. In that time, he’s earned his national-level certification to teach both Golf Croquet and American 6-Wicket. Over the last 11 years, he’s taught at USCA schools, visited clubs across the country, and has become a weekly training fixture at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club in Hartfield, running the beginners’ program, the weekly open house sessions, and his popular five-day boot camps. Crouch and the others keeping track of the number of students realized this past spring that he was approaching his milestone of 1,000 students.
