Lynda Cassidy Congdon of Gloucester, Va., passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016.

Born in Petersburg, Va., on Sept. 23, 1941, Lynda was the daughter of the late Mellie Dale and Maurice Allen Cassidy.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Congdon; daughter, Ashley Coberly of Richmond, Va.; stepson, Michael Congdon of Richmond, Va.; granddaughter, Vivienne Coberly; sister, Judy Harris of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, Spike Cassidy and wife Debbie of Chesterfield, Va.

Lynda especially enjoyed spending time with family and many friends who will miss her very much.

A private ceremony will be held for family and friends at a later date.
