LUCILLE TYSSEN

Lucille Tyssen, 92, of Gwynn, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Riverside Convalescent Center-Mathews.

Lucille was a longtime charter member of the Williamsburg Moose Lodge and an avid bowler for many years for which she won many trophies. She loved skiing, camping, fishing, dancing and cats which she called her “babies.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister, her late husband, and her son, Wendell “Wendy” Hugate.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Hugate and wife Sheryl, Mark Majette and wife Kathy; a brother, Carl N. Callis; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a longtime companion and special friend, “Beanie” Sweeney.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, from 10-11 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, with a funeral service at 11 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Gwynn’s Island Cemetery.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Riverside Convalescent Center-Mathews for taking care of Lucille.
