Botetourt Elementary School principal Felicia “Tish” Hudgins and assistant principal Melissa Mygas brought some elfish shenanigans to the school on Dec. 15 for its “Long Winter’s Nap” holiday themed dress-up day. Donning classic “Elf on the Shelf” apparel, they waved and smiled to students and their families atop of the roof during morning drop-off providing some much needed holiday cheer that are lacking this holiday season. The elf celebration was then brought into the building with the pair of principals posing and launching snowballs at students from the entryway display cabinets as they walked by on their way to their classes. Hudgins, at right, and Mygas showed the community that holiday magic can be still be found in the halls of Botetourt Elementary. Hudgins is shown on the roof.
