Long-range VDOT projects underway in Gloucester

A number of long-range highway improvement works are underway in Gloucester County. The Virginia Department of Transportation is currently engaged in the following local projects:

Gloucester-Middlesex line Route 17 southbound is reduced to a single lane for bridge rehabilitation over Dragon Run, located at the county line between Gloucester County and Middlesex County. Project estimated completion date is August 2021.

Gloucester Court House

Construction is underway at the Edgehill intersection of Routes 3/14 and Route 17 Business, Main Street, to add turn lanes and to improve pedestrian access. This work is set to continue through February 2021.

As part of this project, single lane closures will be carried out this week between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. between Warehouse Road and the Main Street intersection.
