Lee Lockwood of Gloucester, and John Walker of Mathews, work at Lockwood’s Carpets, located at 7012 George Washington Memorial Highway in Gloucester. Lockwood is the Vice President of Business Development and Walker is the Vice President of Operations.
Lockwood’s Carpets offers all floor coverings, carpet, ceramic hardwood, vinyl, vinyl tile, painting and floor repairs.
According to Lockwood and Walker, hard work and being honest have been the nature of their company. The economy, big box stores, and now the COVID-19 pandemic have been obstacles they have had to overcome. They said that God has blessed them with great people to work for and work with.
Lockwood has a degree in Political Science from Christopher Newport University and Walker attended Virginia Tech.Lockwood’s parents, Jim and Debby, started the business in 1974.
