The Gloucester and Mathews community foundations have announced they will be taking part in the fourth annual Amazing Raise, scheduled for Sept. 17-18, and are encouraging local nonprofit organizations to take part in training sessions, which are scheduled for next Wednesday, June 25 in Glenns and Kilmarnock.
The Amazing Raise is an online giving event that provides an opportunity for people to showcase their generosity and raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in 36 hours.
Training times include 8 and 10 a.m. at the RCC-Kilmarnock center, and 1 p.m. at the RCC-Glenns campus.
Trainings are open to nonprofit staff or volunteers involved in the development and implementation of their organization’s strategy for The Amazing Raise. Attendance is highly encouraged for organizations that are participating for the first time.
Abbreviated trainings will be available in webinar format and will be geared to returning participants.
