Mr. Dallas Marshall of Gwynn’s Island had the misfortune to cut one of his fingers off last week.

Rev. Filmore Forrest preached a fine sermon last Sunday to a large crowd.

An excellent Thanksgiving sermon was preached by Rev. P.M. Petty at Union Baptist Church on last Sunday. A large attentive congregation was present as usual.

Mr. Charles Duff, principal of Achilles High School, is on crutches but suffering a sprained ankle does not interfere with his aggressive interest in school methods and progress.

Mrs. Rodney Hayes will spend Thanksgiving in Richmond.

Rev. Bumstead, the new Rector of Kingston Parish, arrived here last Friday and was warmly welcomed by his congregation. His home was all ready for him, dinner was cooked and there was nothing for him to do except go in and eat.
