Local restaurants join forces for Salvation Army

Several local businesses will be joining together during National Hunger and Homeless Week to raise funds for The Salvation Army with a "Dine for Donations" program starting Saturday and continuing through Nov. 18.

A percentage of revenue will be donated to the Gloucester-Mathews Salvation Army to benefit local families that are in need this holiday season, according to Darlene Lee, director of the Salvation Army Service Center of Gloucester.

The program will be conducted at the following Gloucester restaurants: Damon & Company this Saturday; Courthouse Restaurant on Sunday; Applebee’s Nov. 15; El Ranchito Nov. 16; Bangkok Noi Thai Cuisine Nov. 17; Chick-fil-A 5-8 p.m. only on Nov. 17; Eggheads Diner Nov. 18 and Ruby Tuesday Nov. 18.

"So when you dine out this week, please dine at one of our sponsored locations to help a family in need and tell them you are supporting your local Salvation Army," Lee said.
