Knights of Columbus Council 9428 donated $3,067 to Care Net Peninsula Pregnancy Center at the council’s recent social event last month. Care Net was established in 1986 to support local women facing unplanned pregnancies. The care is free and the center does not turn away anyone in need of counseling. They offer ultrasound imaging and advocate for life. Their website is cnpeninsula.org. Care Net’s director is Ryan Holloway. Council 9428 presented the check to Edna Denise Espada, RN, who manages ultrasound services. She accepted the check on behalf of Holloway, who was not able to attend. The donation from Council 9428 was from their Baby Bottle Fundraiser, in which people were asked to fill up empty baby bottles with quarters or other monetary donations.
