Local fisherman injures hand while setting out stakes for fish nets

115 YEARS AGOThursday, Feb. 22, 1906from the Mathews Journal Mr. William Lilly met with a very bad accident Saturday while out in the bay driving stakes, he got his hand mashed very badly. It is feared that Mr. Lilly will lose some of his fingers. He is quite sick at this writing. We hope to see him out soon. Miss Annie C. Outland of Redart has closed her school near this place and has returned home.
