Big speckled trout were caught in local waters during November, with citations recorded during the past week by the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament.

Bringing home the big ones were the following, according to the weekly update posted on vasaltwaterjournal.com:

Jeffrey B. Hunter of Gloucester, 5 pound, 3 ounce speckled trout caught Nov. 27 in Piankatank River;

Gordon Dale West Jr. of Gloucester, 5-3 fish caught No. 27 at Ware Point;

Thomas Jeffrey Hunt of Hayes, 5-11 speck caught Nov. 25 in the Piankatank;

Jonathan West of Hayes, 5-4 fish caught Nov. 27 in the Piankatank;

Wilford Coates Jr. of Gloucester, 6-7 fish caught Nov. 19 in the lower York River;

Billy Flippin of Bena, 5-9 fish caught Nov. 16 in the Piankatank;

Robert F. Flippin of Gloucester, 6-7 fish caught Nov. 14 in the Piankatank;

Chris Williams of Hudgins, 5-12 fish caught Nov. 8 in the Piankatank;
