Little Marketing Department makes little move

The Little Marketing Department recently made a little move of its own, crossing Church Street in Mathews to its new digs at 36 Court Street.

Jen Little, who owns and operates the one-person marketing consulting business, began her lease at the new location in the Court House area on Aug. 1. Little previously had her offices in a building a couple hundred yards away at 20 Church Street.

She leases the space from Jay and Lori Black; Lori Black uses part of the office space at 36 Court Street for her genealogy business. Together, Lori Black and Little are co-owners of a third business, Dixie Moon Concierge.

Little began the Little Marketing Department in 2011, after her position as marketing director at Courthouse Construction was eliminated. "It was a blessing to be laid off," she said, because that forced her to "learn how to sink or swim."
