Lipscombe, Williams, Quade, Adkins and Givens win at VMS

Beautiful weather greeted fans and competitors Saturday for Northern Neck Chevrolet/MetroCast Business Services Night at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, Middlesex.

In the Aaron’s Pro Late Model division Davis Lipscombe of Mechanicsville, started on the pole and looked to be cruising to a comfortable win when caution flag came back out to close the field back up on his bumper. From there, Lipscombe fended off several challenges over the final five laps to score his career first Aaron’s Pro Late Model victory.

In other action Justin Williams of Concord spun on lap nine of the Victory Lap Late Model feature went to the rear then worked his way to the front taking the lead on lap 21, muscling Joe Ender from the top spot to then cruise to his second win of the season. In the Budweiser Modifieds Matt Quade of Mechanicsville, Md., battled with his uncle, Mike Reynolds of Clements, Md., for nine laps to get past on lap 19 and go on to score his fourth win of the seas...
