LINDA JEANNE HORSLEY HILL

Linda Jeanne Horsley Hill, 66, of North, Va., entered into Heaven’s gates on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, surrounded by her family and her beloved dog Chic.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Gloucester High School, and she worked as a secretary, seamstress, and homemaker.

Born on Pratt Street in Baltimore, Md., on July 12, 1948, Linda was the daughter of the late William Perry Sr. and Catherine A. Horsley of Ark, Va.

She leaves to honor and cherish her memory her forever love, David E. Hill; two children, Michelle Hill Williams (Michael A. “Tony”) of Mathews, David A. “Andy” Hill (Irelis) of Williamsburg; former daughter-in-love, Lacey Smith Hill of Mathews, and eight grandchildren, Erica, Jason, Stephanie, Christopher, Tristan, Zoe, Ethan, and Anjali. She is survived by her five siblings and a wealth of friends.

Linda was known for her laugh, her compassionate heart, and her giving nature. It was said that Linda never met a stranger and she was quick to jump to the aid of anyone in need.

Arrangements are entrusted to Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester. Visitation and service will be conducted at Andrews from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2014.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Linda H. Hill Memorial Account, c/o Chesapeake Bank for Helping the Homeless, P.O. Box 726, Gloucester, Va. 23061. 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Peninsula Cancer Center and Riverside Hospice.
