Lila Ann Roberts of Gloucester, passed on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the care of Hospice. She was surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of the late Colonel Kenneth A. Roberts, USAF-ret.

As a military wife, she followed him from station to station while raising her three daughters. They retired in Gloucester, where they resided until his death. She received an A.A. degree in Business from Thomas Nelson Community College in Newport News.

Lila loved gardening, sewing, quilting and working with children as a Reading Buddy in Gloucester County Public Schools. She also worked with children during Vacation Bible School as a member of the Presbyterian Church, Gloucester.  

Having grown up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, she had perfected the Maryland crab cake.  

Lila is survived by her daughters, Linda S. Roberts, Diane R. Floria and her husband Bill, and Carole Brosnan. She is also survived by four grandsons, Justin Fouche, Patrick Brosnan, Kenny and Anthony Floria.  She is survived by her two sisters, Joan Sellers of Stevensville, Maryland, and Janet Yarborough of Memphis, Tennessee.  

She will be interred with her husband in Gloucester at a later date.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stauffer Funeral Home in Brunswick (Md.) and Stauffer Crematory, Inc.
