Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will present a Night of Praise this Saturday, Nov. 16. The show will feature the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers performing contemporary worship music as well as traditional and Southern Gospel standards. The show will be at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward auditorium. Doors open at 7:30 and the show begins at 8.From country standards like “I Saw the Light” and “Why Me, Lord” to newer Christian hits by Cece Winans, Lauren Daigle and Elevation Worship, the music will be a variety that is synonymous with the Opry. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Mathews Visitor Center in Mathews and Marketplace Antiques on Route 17 in Hayes. Tickets are also available at the door on show night. Fans of the Li’l Ole Opry are reminded to get their tickets now for the Smith Family and Friends Christmas Show on Dec. 7....
