Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will hold its annual “Sounds of Summer” show on Saturday at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the show begins at 8.
Guests are invited to enjoy the Li’l Ole Opry band and singers as they sing their way into summertime with country and beach music hits made popular by many others.
Performers scheduled to appear include William Earl Sadler, Richard Smith, David Shuber, Sam Hogge, Lynda Smith, Jeff Long, Mike Gregg, Tracy Hill, Ralph Motley, A.J. McKeen, Farren Winter, Susan Ripley, LeighAnn Abbott, Adam Greve, and Harmony Smith.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased in advance at the Mathews Visitor and Information Center and at Marketplace Antiques in Gloucester. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on show night starting at 7 o’clock.
