Light agenda tonight for Mathews BOS

The Mathews County Board of Supervisors appears to have a light agenda planned tonight, for its Thursday, Oct. 16 monthly meeting, to be held at 6 o’clock in the historic courthouse on Court Street.
At the top of the agenda are two presentations—first, a legislative update by Del. Keith Hodges (R-Urbanna), and second, an update by Troy Garrett on the renovation project at the former Mathews Boys and Girls Club that will result in a new Station 1 for the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department.
Under new business, the board is slated to set the schedule for adopting the FY 2027 budget.The board also routinely hears reports from the county administrator and individual supervisors, and those items are on the agenda, as well....
