Licensed Funeral Director

Mathews County native Victoria Bing has completed her internship and earned certification to become a Licensed Funeral Director, according to her employer, E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory. “It takes a special kind of person to not only do the work but also have compassion and love for families who have suffered a loss. We are excited for her and her future with us here at E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory,” Friday’s announcement on the company’s Facebook page stated. Established in 1952, E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory is family owned and operated with locations in Colonial Heights and Petersburg. After graduating from Mathews High School in 2019, Bing attended John Tyler Community College, graduating last August with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. She began her internship with E. Alvin Small in May 2021. She resides in Colonial Heights.
