Library’s ‘Lunch Bunch’ program gaining popularity

The Gloucester Library launched a "Lunch Bunch" program in January that is starting to gain momentum, adult program coordinator Ginny Snowden said.

"We are trying to have a variety of programs," Snowden said of Lunch Bunch. She said plans are to offer a program at the main library in Main Street Center on the second Tuesday of the month through June, have a summer break and resume programs in September.

Adults are encouraged to bring a sandwich to the programs, which start at 11:30 a.m. Lectures were scheduled for January and February, with the next program planned for Tuesday, March 8.

Poisoned Dwarf, a Williamsburg-based group, will present a concert of traditional Irish music. "Join the fun as we pre-celebrate St. Paddy’s Day," Snowden said. The concert promises to be "a fun event for all ages," she said, and everyone is invited.
