Library to host Halloween children’s events this month

The Gloucester Library is hosting two Halloween-themed events for children this month.

The library will host its “Boo Bash” at the Main Street Center location on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. until noon. The library will have Halloween activities, refreshments, crafts and games.

“We are encouraging children to come dressed in their costumes,” said Sara Robbins, Children’s Services coordinator for the library.

Children and families are welcome to attend. No registration required. This event is geared mostly towards elementary school-aged children.

The following week, the library will have its “Gingerbread Haunted House” event at both library branches. The Main Street Center branch will decorate gingerbread houses on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. and the Point branch will decorate on Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.
