The Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center, will have its first-ever Yum Yum Cookie Baking Contest in conjunction with its annual holiday open house. Register for the baking contest by picking up a container and a copy of the rules at the Main Library from Nov. 28-Dec. 6. Three categories of bakers may enter: third-fifth graders, sixth-12th graders and adults 18 and older.

The winners of the cookie contest will be awarded at 3:30 p.m. at the library’s open house, which will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Magic of Harmony Show Choir will perform at 1 p.m. Bayside Youth Ballet will perform at 1:30 and 2:30. This is a family event. Light refreshments will be provided. No registration required.

Before the open house, visit with Santa. Registration opens Saturday. Space is limited. Call 804-693-2998 to secure your appointment. There will be a selfie station and take-and-make crafts.
