Library holds jigsaw puzzle competition

The Gloucester Library held its first Jigsaw Puzzle Showdown competition Friday at the Main Street Center location.

The team of Stephanie Conley and Josephine Hurd claimed first place and Laura Patrick, Aman Kaur and Michelle Phillips took second.

The competition consisted of a 300-piece puzzle with a Thanksgiving theme to be completed in under two hours. The first-place team finished in 41 minutes and the second-place team finished in 43 minutes.

Seven teams participated in this event and the library plans to hold another puzzle competition in the spring.
